Chimney and fireplace
Where to start
The work splits three ways: routine visits that keep a fireplace usable, repairs for damage, and add-ons that keep weather and embers where they belong.
Repairs
Masonry, crowns and the fireplace itself.
Protection
Parts that keep out rain, animals and embers.

Chimney Sweep
Rods and a brush run the length of the flue, the soot comes down into a vacuum, and the room is left as it was.

Chimney Cleaning
For thick or glazed buildup, smoky odors and smoke shelves nobody has touched in years. More time, more tools, a cleaner passage.

Chimney Inspection
Flue, crown, cap, flashing and firebox looked at in order, so you know what you actually have before deciding anything.

Chimney Repair
Cracks, leaks and loose pieces traced to where they start, then fixed there instead of covered over.

Fireplace Repair
Cracked panels, a stuck damper, tired gas logs or an insert that won't draft right, sorted out at the firebox.
Learn more
Chimney Cap Installation
A screened cap or spark arrestor that keeps rain, birds and wind-blown embers on the right side of the flue.

Chimney Crown Repair
The concrete top of the stack takes the sun and the rain first. Small cracks get sealed; a failing crown gets recast.
Learn more
Chimney Liner Installation
A stainless or cast liner gives the smoke and gases a sealed path when old clay tile has cracked or never fit.

Chimney Masonry Repair
Spalled brick replaced and tired joints repointed, matched to the color and bond already on the house.
Learn more
Chimney Rebuilding
When a stack leans, rocks or came loose in a quake, the damaged courses come down and go back up properly.
Learn more
Chimney Waterproofing
Breathable repellent on the brick and tight flashing at the roof, so the rainy months stop showing up on the ceiling.

Picking the right service
Short answers to what people ask most. More are on the full FAQ page.
I'm not sure what I need. Where should I start?
Book an inspection. It covers the flue, firebox, crown, cap and flashing, and the findings tell you whether a sweep, a repair or nothing at all comes next.
Can a sweep and an inspection happen on the same visit?
Yes, they pair naturally, since the flue is easier to see once it's clean. Bigger masonry or crown work is usually booked as its own visit.
Do you handle gas fireplaces as well as wood?
Yes. Gas logs, inserts and direct-vent units are covered under fireplace repair, and their venting is part of any inspection.
What if you find something I didn't expect?
We pause and explain it. Nothing beyond the original job starts unless you approve it after hearing the choices.
Are the service pages the same for every city?
The service details apply everywhere we work. Each city page adds notes about local homes and weather.
